OSHA logout/tagout
Prevent injuries on the job by practicing Lock-Out, Tag-Out Procedures designed by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Many accidents happen when we fail to take precautions when machines are being repaired, serviced or maintained. OSHA created a system called Lockout/Tagout that requires employers to do just that, lock out any machine or device that is not working so no one can use it and get hurt. Sometimes the steps in this process seem like they take more time then you would like, however, that short amount of time can save an injury or even potential death.
Please take a moment to read the attachment (above labeld OSHA lockout/tagout) and familiarize yourself with the Lockout/Tagout process. Print a copy and keep it handy to help insure safety within your work environment. Remember you can always contact OSHA for any documents or equipment for Lockout/Tagout you may need.
