Are younger truckers safe?

The nation's dependence on truckers is skyrocketing. With online shopping in a state of explosive growth, companies are shipping more goods to more places than ever before. Unfortunately, this increased demand for trucking services hasn't led to more people deciding to become truckers. Despite hiking wages and recruiting outside of their normal applicant pools, trucking companies are increasingly desperate to find enough drivers to keep their fleets on the road. Some people have suggested allowing younger drivers behind the wheel as the answer, but questions remain about safety.

Car Accidents Involving Underinsured and Uninsured Motorist Insurance Coverage

Most car accidents and crashes are caused by irresponsible drivers. Most irresponsible drivers refuse or fail to maintain adequate insurance coverage to cover the harms and losses they cause by driving negligently. Thus, it is important to be aware what you have to do in order to make a claim for UM/UIM benefits.

"One Call Can Change Everything"

April is National Distracted Driving Awareness Month, making this an opportune time to evaluate our current efforts to change driving attitudes and habits. New technology in vehicles is causing us to become more distracted behind the wheel than ever before. According to the National Safety Counsel, fifty-three percent of drivers believe if manufacturers put phone display dashboards and hands-free technology in vehicles, they must be safe. And, with some state laws focusing on handheld bans, many drivers honestly believe they are making the safe choice by using a hands-free device. But in fact, these technologies distract our brains even long after you've used them.

Recording a Traffic Stop

In 38 of the 50 states it is plainly allowed to record police, as long as you don't physically interfere with their work. Police might still unfairly harass you or ask you to stop but you will not be charged for illegally recording police.

Two wheels means twice the safety

For the die-hard, avid motorcyclists, this may be the last week of the year to take your bike out for one last spin. Riding in mid-November is a rare, if ever, sight. Drivers may not be expecting you to be out on the roads this late in the year either. This is why extra safety precautions should be considered.
