Man suffers broken bones in crash with semi-truck driver

Car crashes happen suddenly, and they catch people off-guard. Drivers who were thinking about getting home from work or heading off for a day with friends suddenly find themselves in pain and trying to get help.

Sometimes, it's dangerous drivers who cause problems on the roads. Take, for example, this crash that took place on Highway 2 in Nebraska. A 53-year-old man was hospitalized following the crash.

The police in Lancaster County reported that the crash happened in the early morning at around 6:15 a.m. The injured man was heading east in his car when a semitruck driver heading west on Highway 2 made a turn onto 120th Street. That turn resulted in the crash that left the car's driver with broken bones. Fortunately, his injuries were not expected to be life-threatening. The driver of the semitruck did not get hurt in the collision, but he was cited for failing to yield to the car's driver.

The sad thing about crashes like this one is that they did not have to happen. If drivers took the time to check for others on the roadways, they would be able to see if they had enough time to pull out or make a turn. If they did look, they might wait a few seconds longer and allow a driver to pass safely.

If you are hit by someone who failed to yield to your right-of-way, you can pursue a claim against them for compensation. Your injuries and the expenses related to them add up. You can seek fair compensation for what you've been through.
