This time of year brings out new hazards on the roadways. Some of these hazards are obvious, while others are not.
- Farm Vehicles – We live in Nebraska and farm vehicles on the road are a fact of life. Keep in mind that tractors and combines are always slow moving, so always reduce your speed. Be aware that many of these vehicles do not have turn signals and can make sudden stops or turns.
- Bicycles and Motorcycles- Slow down and give bicycles the right-of-way. Keep a close eye on motorcyclists; let them get around you easily. These vehicles are often fast moving and can be in and out of your blind spot in a matter of seconds.
- Children and Pedestrians – Watch for children out playing and be extra careful before and after school hours. Watch for pedestrians and joggers and don’t be afraid to let them know you are there.
One of the biggest things you can do is to increase your following distance. Give yourself that extra time to stop. Always be alert.
Don’t let someone else’s mistake cost you. If you or someone you know has been in an accident, please call Brock Law Offices to see what we can do for you.
